In 2003, generating $272.58 million, Brunswick County ranked tenth out of North Carolina’s 100 counties in tourism revenue. It’s no wonder that tourism is the leading industry in the county, directly responsible for more than 4,300 jobs and generating $30.22 million in state and local taxes. Manufacturing also continues to be a driving force behind our economy.

Labor Climate
North Carolina is one of the 21 states with a "right-to-work" law. While tourism continues to be the main source of revenue for area businesses, there are still a variety of other employment opportunities available and resources to help those seeking positions.
