The arts are alive and thriving in southeastern North Carolina from the movie industry in Wilmington to the glitzy theaters of nearby Myrtle Beach. National touring companies grace the stage at the Alabama Theatre, Odell Williamson Auditorium and at historic Thalian Hall in Wilmington. Local productions are also featured, and more than two dozen theater groups are active in the area, including Brunswick Little Theater for area youth.

Odell Williamson Auditorium (910) 755-7416 50 College Road NW Supply, NC 28462 www.bccowa.com The Odell Williamson Auditorium is located on the campus of Brunswick Community College three miles north of Supply, NC and approximately twenty minutes south of Wilmington, NC just off Highway 17. The Odell Williamson Auditorium is a state-of-the-art 1,500-seat performing arts facility. Built at a cost of more than three million dollars by the citizens of Brunswick County, it exists for the multipurpose educational and cultural enrichment of the community. The venue attracts major entertainers, such as Lee Greenwood, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra; and first-class theater productions from local and regional theater companies, such as Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Annie, and The Odd Couple.

The theater features elaborate musical productions and also serves as venue for concerts from some of the most popular stars of country music. The Theatre also puts on special holiday shows and performances.
Thalian Hall (910) 343-3664 310 Chestnut Street Wilmington, NC 28401 www.thalian.wilmington.org Thalian Hall is a restored historic building (ca. 1858) that houses City Hall and an ornate theater that serves as venue for local and traveling musical and theatrical productions. Guided tours are offered Monday through Friday. Tour hours and prices vary depending on size of group. Call for tickets, hours and schedule.
